CFPB Consumer Complaint Database · 2024 to 2025
What Changed Between 2024 and 2025
The CFPB publishes a running complaint file, not a changelog. Comparing the two complete years we hold, 2,302 of 2,484 companies present in both years (92.7%) moved complaint volume up or down. 2026 is still in progress in this extract and is not in this comparison.

Complaint counts are consumer-submitted CFPB filings, not findings of wrongdoing. Larger books of business accumulate more filings. A rise or fall is a volume change, not a quality grade.
Federal Reserve G.19 all-accounts APR
Commercial-bank credit-card APR (all accounts) was 20.94% as of 2026-05-01, versus 21.00% as of 2026-02-01 (-0.06 percentage points quarter to quarter). Versus 2025-05-01 (21.16%), the year-over-year change is -0.22 percentage points. Lower APR is cheaper revolving credit on this series; the figure is not advice about any card.
How to read this
A company can only be said to have risen or fallen if the extract stored a yearly count for it in both complete years. 2,484 companies meet that test, and they are the denominator for every percentage here. The in-progress calendar year is charted on company pages and labelled partial; it is excluded from these ranks because a part-year total is a different population from a twelve-month total.
The riser and faller tables below keep companies whose 2024 count was at least 50, so a one-filing wobble does not dominate. File turnover (302 newly listed, 212 absent in 2025) is ordinary as companies enter or leave the CFPB file, not a data error.
